Unusual Noise Hi. My American Style Daewoo Fridge Freezer is making a bit of a noise which appears to be coming from the back of the appliance. Any ideas what it could be? Many thanks
The compressor and condenser fan are at the back. The fan could be hitting somthing. The internal parts of the compressor could make a noise usually when it cut on or off.

We had the same fault on our Samsung American style RSH1DBRS fridge freezer as lots of other people seem to be having. After doing lots of research, we found the best solution seemed to be to buy a repair kit from Appliance DIY Repairs. The instructions were fantastic and the installation was a doddle. Excellent service & well priced.
its the compresor packed up,,,if this compresor is not pumping freezer gas around the pipe work the freezer wont work sorry but a new compresor is not a cheep thing to have fitted as it will need a re-gas as well
Spray a good quantity of WD-40 on the spindle of the fan motor where it enters the motor itself. This should get the fan working smoothly with no noise. This will probably solve the other problems, as the fan prevents various components from overheating and shutting down.
