Very broad problem. You can re-seat card, or use a different slot if possible. You can test card on another PC. You can wipe PC and do a clean install. This may be the surest way to determine if the the card is bad or driver conflict with OS.
Hi, I did find a driver for your video card on it's official website.
Here is the link to you driver download
Is this the one you need? I just search for NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200, is it correct?Step:1: Go to the link and download the driver.2.After finish, double click on it and run the program.3.Follow the instruction(Some custom change?) and finish the installation.
Can't Help Much, But Effort Paid.
Yes, you will need to install VGA drivers for the card to work properly and at its peak performance.
The drivers for your GeForce 5200 can be found here.
Just select the following from the boxes: Product Type: GeForce Product Series: GeForce 5 FX Series Product: GeForce FX 5200 Operating System: The operating system you are using on the PC that you want to put the card into. Language: English (US)
On the Nvidia website you can find the latest drivers for your graphics card: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Just select Gforce 5 FX Series, then 5200, and your operating system for downloads to show up.
You do not necessarily need to disable the built in graphic adapter, the computer can manage two different adapters. The nVidia should show picture with standard VGA definition (800x600 only) if simply connected to the AGP or PCI slot even if drivers are not installed, and even if built in GPU is not disabled. If there is no picture, check installation in slot, check that card is not disabled in BIOS, check video cable is well connected, and if nothing works, test the video adapter on different PC, the card may be faulty.
sounds like yo had the same Probles that I had with my 5200 geforce The install did not go well. what was happening was the direct x was binding to the old mother board graphics system and not the new card . to make it rebind just change the refresh rate in the nvidia icon in your task bar . disable the display adapter from device manager for the motherboard graphics .put the card in the slot change the montior cord boot up check you direct x by typing in run dxdiag and test directx to be sure it is runing with your card you can also see that fron the about nvidia you must have the driver for the card installed to do all this.. hope I helped
Make sure the graphics card can handle the games minimum requirements. if the game is trying to push more than the card can handle it will either kick you back to the desktop or reboot the computer.
The only time that this can happen is if the driver is not installed correctly, as on install you are normally asked if you want to activate support for dual monitors, so if you havent already, uninstall the card driver, restart and install driver again from the cd or from the NVIDIA website.

If you have already tried this my apologies.
