There are so many engines manufactured by Briggs and Stratton there is not enough information to answer your question directly. Suggest you check : www.briggsandstratton.com/...the-correct-spark-plug-and-gap this site with additional information about your engine should get you your answer.
Spark and gas??? Must have both. Pull spark plug wire and check for spark. If you have spark, check gap on spark plug. Check the bowl on carburetor. loosen bowl screw to see if gas is coming out. If you have gas coming out, carb needs to be taken off and cleaned or rebuilt.

Hi, Cissy, Every Cub Cadet is different, and they keep their manuals to themselves. With your exact model and serial number, you can go to their website and view the manual for your model which should have the type of oil you need. Their website is www.cubcadet.com and go to service. If you have trouble, let me know, but I will need the model and serial. Good Luck, this should Fixya!
