You have a broken recoil spring. Dis-assemble (pull-off) the recoil housing and check for proper dog alingnment, broken spring, or something jammed between recoil sprocket and engine block.

Try your local Radio Shack, or electronics parts store. Radio SHack #61-210, 61-211, 61-212

120' cord. I would go to a big-box store and investigate making your own cord so that you only have 2 ends. 12 guage at the very least. any thing smaller, and you will burn up the motor.

I believe that the trigger and throttle cable should solve your issue.

Take the casing apart and I bet one of the wires for the cord pulled out. I bought a brand new ryobi sawsall,used it ten minutes and it quit. Was going to throw it away but decided to open the casing and the black wire pulled out of the terminal,it was a five minute fix swear to God!

Did you try bumping the head on the ground? Also, the head could be dirty, keeping the string from feeding. Or maybe the previous owner tried putting a larger size string in the head. Check to see what the proper size is for your trimmer.
Both of these suggestions could cause this.

try this get a good extension cord test it plug it in now with the trigger pulled wiggle the cord going into the weeder i have in the past moved the cord till i got working and taped it to the handle, if that dosent work get a new one
