Question about Microwave Ovens
Seems like its stuck on high or Power level 10, thanks so much for your help
If it won't cook at the lower power level then it probably has a stuck relay on the control panel circuit board.
If it were cooking at a low power level, it would be on full power for several seconds, then when the relay opens to turn off cooking, the light gets a bit brighter, and the sound is a bit less.
Then after a few seconds you would hear the relay click on, and a little more buzzing when the magnetron energizes.
Please write back with your brand and model number if you need further help.

Tips for a great answer:

Good Morning Charles Caulkins, thanks for your post!
From my understanding your Frigidaire microwave is not allowing you to change your power level. I would recommend performing a reset and you can do that by disconnecting power from your microwave for ten minutes. If that does not help to resolve your issue I would suggest having a professional come out to provide a proper diagnosis. This will help to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Hope this information is helpful to some degree. -Matt
