Not ingaging mower cutting deck not ingaging , When I put the lever forward to ingage the deck the motor cuts out. I sit on the mower, I have the brake on ,

On some mowers there is a small rod that sticks out the rear of the mower where the trailer ball would go with this small rod being pulled out. Which is for safety in the operation if this is pushed back in sometimes this resolves the problem. If it does not something is either stuck in the belt drive or under the deck in the blades or wrapped up around the blades causing the tractor to die or stall out.If any help is needed further ask for me personally we will get it fixed. Check to see if the belt might have come off and wedged on something under the frame. Or,,maybe a spindle could be locked-up. One more thing to check is if your deck might have a braking system on it to keep the blades from moveing it might not be disingaging.
