- The answer does not applies to the FX-115ES, but to another calculator FX260 Solar.
For the FX115ES fractions anre converted to decimals by making use of the [S to D] key. If you want all results to display with decimals use [SHIFT] [MODE/SETUP] to select
[6:FIX] n where n is a number between 0 to 9 decimal digits; exemple 4 xxx xxx. dddd
[7:Sci] n where n is a number between 0 to 9 decimal digits ; exemple 4 x.dddd * 10^( ±dd)
[8:NORM] 1 or NORM 2 .Oct 31, 2009
- If you do not need fractions and radicals, you can set calculator Input/Output to LineIO, To do so press [SHIFT][MODE][2:LineIO], and all results will be in decimal format.
If you need to reset the default MathIO (with fractions and radicals), just press [SHIFT][MODE][1:MathIO].
When in MathIO, a result in fractions or radicals can be converted into decimal format by pressing the [S<->D] key.
Also when in MathIO, and you want a result to be displayed decimal format, instead of pressing =, press [SHIFT][=].
