Non responding wireless mouse and keyboard

mcdevito75 here, Sounds like the mouse itself is faulty, if the right button when depressed returns to position and you hear the familiar click, and you don"t hear that from the left button, then the mouse itself is faulty, ask Dell to send another mouse, it should be on warranttee with your new computer.

Touchpad and cursor keys quit working

I used to get this problem. It is VERY annoying as you must know. try pushing the windows icon button in the top right corner of your keyboard(thats where it is on my keyboard)then use your arrow keys to scroll up to control panel, select mouse by using arrow keys and then use the tab and arrow keys to open the mouse keypad pagetab and push enable and enter key to turn it on.
IF WHEN YOU DO THAT AND your in the touchpad properties but there is no 'enable' and it says no hardware detected, then go into the same mouse window from the control panel and go to the hardware tab and either try to update driver or use the trouble shoot button.

Hope this helped =]

I had to move the magnify function to the left button because it was to sensitive on the right.

Mouse cursor moving by itself

In windows xp go into start menu, then into control panel then click on appearance and themes, then move your mouse over to mouse pointers click on it , uncheck "enhance pointer precision, and click apply, that will stop the mouse from acting crazy, this will work with dell mouse pointers and most.
