I have a Mach Speed MS945G-GLV motherboard, and 4 sticks of 1G DDR2 RAM. Putting all 4 sticks in, the BIOS setup displays only 3Gigs of Ram (Windows XP displays the same). I tested the 4 sticks and the 4 ports, by putting 2 in at a time, and none of the sticks or any of the ports are mailfunctioning.

on startup, it shows 31XXXXXX (I dont exactly know how many X's there are, but the My Computer properties show 2.9.
I know the bios wont show exactly 4 Gigs, but I was hoping for 3.8 at least at startup.

If you're running XP SP2, that may be by design because of something Microsoft did in SP2.
