I have a hoover HOC 709/6X oven that doesn't reach temperature in fan mode with both top and bottom element selected. Both elements are working, however in this mode the oven will not reach above 125 degrees. The thermostat is working correctly as if I use grill and fan mode the oven reaches temperature and the thermostat works fine. I'm not an engineer but sounds like an electronic problem. The fan works fine.

SOURCE: heating element will not heat

With all that you said, I would suspect an open or faulty element. It is pretty much the most obvious solution.

If you have any electronically ability and you are going to open the oven, use an ohm or resistance meter, check the amount of ohms and use the upper element as a reference for the correct reading.
The element will either read open or good. You can use a light tester also and if the light lights between the two connectors of the elements, then it is ok and look elsewhere.

SOURCE: Oven doesn't reach temperature setting

It could be the plug/receptacle that the element plugs into. It could also be that the elements have separate thermostats and that the one for the lower element is bad. If you can post the model number I can look at the electrical schematic and know for sure if it has one or two thermostats.

How do i replace bottom element in blanco oven model bso632

    Hi Ron.

Unfortunately I do not have the schematics for this specific model. The fan assisted oven has a top grill element and an element in the fan housing. The fan housing is located inside the oven cavity at the back and protected by a cover held by 4 screws. Here a video showing how to replace the fan assisted element. If there is also a lower element at the bottom of the cavity, this can be reached removing the panel at the bottom of the oven. Here a video showing replacement of the bottom element.

My Neff eletric oven works on top and bottom heat, but does not heat up on the fan setting fan. It heats slightly and the fans works but it does not reach temperature.

You need to replace the oven element
This is located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover, it is usually circular in shape
