Before you begin, UNPLUG DRYER.
Remove bottom access panel by using a putty knife to depress panel clips (item 46).

Check the High limit fuse and heater for continuity. Heater (item 14) <20 ohms and HI-limit (item 47) <0.3 ohms.

If the heater or HI-Limit has failed it may be that the exhaust airflow has become blocked or restricted. Check the hose in the back ofthe machine for crushed hose. If OK, the vent pipe may need cleaning...check out www.linteater.com for vent cleaning info.

SOURCE: GGQ9800PW1 How can I remove the back panel?

Newer models have access through the front lower panel. Removing the panel will expose the t-stats and all other parts. Remember to disconnect all power to dryer before servicing. Disconnect the wires to the thermal fuse and join them together. Connect dryer and start, if it heats up then your fuse is bad. Costs about 10 bucks.

How do I remove right fender on 1980's G20 van. It seems to be welded.

I don't know the model but a great many modern monocoque body designs derive weight-saving, strength and rigidity from all-welded panels including the wing, fender, mudguard.

Some are still bolted and some are fixed with a combination of bolts and welds.
Today there are a number of specialised drill bits that will neatly remove spot welds so the panel can be reused or special chisels designed to cut spot welds if the panel is not to be reused.

How do you remove back panel on Kenmore gas dryer model 97591240 75912? seems to be tack welded?

If lint filter is in door, back doesn't come off. Top and front comes off in that order.

Replace right rear quarterpanel

replacing a quarter panel is no easy task. it is spot welded all around the perimeter. To do it properly you will need to remove the rear window, the quarter glass, the trunk lid, rear panel, tail light, bumper cover, rear wheel, and inner wheel panel liner. every spot weld found will need to be cut, but only thru the outer panel. You do not want to cut all of the way thru both panels as you need to have something to attach the new panel to. After all welds are cut, there are welds under where the back window and quarter window go, and there are also welds in the sail panel that is between the quarter and rear windows where the quarter meets the roof panel. After all welds are cut and cleaned up you will want to cover all bare metal with a zinc based primer. You will want to drill holes all around the perimeter of the new panel and attach it to the vehicle with clamps or self tapping screws temporarily until you weld the new panel in place. You will want to fill in the holes you drilled in the new panel welding to the panel underneath. once all is attached you can remove the clamps or tap screws, if you used screws weld these holes as well, then grind everything smooth. finish up with a bit of body work especially at the sail panel where it meets the top, prime, sand, and now you might be ready for a trip to the paint shop.

How do I remove the back of this dryer?

From the way it sounds the back is not supposed to come off. On some of the kenmore dryers there is a kickplate in the front. You can confirm this by looking at the front of the dryer with the door closed. if there is a gap about a quarter of the way up from the bottom completely across, then you'll need to remove that and then you'll have access to the components you are looking for. To ttake the kickplate off there are two clips, one on each side you push it with a flathead screw driver and pull the kickplate forward.
