Hi from the uk this bang you heard is most likely to be the coil suspension spring on the nearside most likely the top coil has broken this is not uncommon fault however slightly expensive but not beyond d i y if you want to save money it would be worth checking both sides and if you shop around you can obtain springs at reasonable price have done one recently on focus cost £56 here in uk time to diy if you have haynes manual it will give detailed instructions on renewal you will need to borrow spring compressors hope this helps keep in touch if you req further info/assistance good luck

You may have to remove the tires but they are very well known for braking the front coil springs.

My car started clunking in the rear near the tire, especially when I turn left

Check your top shock absorber and/or strut mounts, they may have been hammered by the many bumps and stripped out the mounting hardware on top just an eighth of an inch which will cause super loud bangs as that side wobbles up and down and hits into the Body Metal. These can get dangerous if left loose at all, my old boss said his Taurus would change lanes by itself at 120 Km/hr in the rain!

I had front brakes and rotors replaced on my 2000 Durango. Within a week I heard something like a grind coming from the right front tire. And tonight I heard the same noise when braking but it was much...

sounds like something was jammed, or loose. I'd recommend taking it back to where the brakes were done and have them check it out in case something they did is messed up.

Front brakes replaced and then heard a loud bang

A noise like that in brakes are not something to guess at, or play around with. Call the place that did the brake job, and explain to them what happened. My guess is that they will come to you, or advise you to very carefully bring it to them for a look. Might have been a stone wedged or something but don't take the chance, have it looked at, a.s.a.p. and don't drive it if you don't have to until then.

1993 grand cherodo laredo loud bang in rear when i turn corners

Hi dtpp,
You are going to have to crawl around under the jeep for a few, If the noise is just that, a noise and the tires don't seem to catch or no grinding going on, look for your exhaust pipe possibly lose or the track bar..stabilizer bar, shocks or any broken bolts..any connection that just doesn't look right..You don't need the vehicle up on a lift to check this stuff. If you don't see anything right in your face use a jack and lift the rear of the jeep, put it on stands from the frame so the rear end is free to the air, be careful about not being under it and just start wiggling stuff, you should be able to spot the sound. Good luck and if you can have someone help you, easier to spot as well as safe.
