SOURCE: what is the difrent between LRA and BTU ?

One really has not much to do with the other directly

BTU - British Thermal Unit.- A heat measuring unit. IE:12,000 BTU (British Thermal Unit.) The amount of heat required to melt one ton of ice.

LRA - Lock Rotor Ampere-LRA is nothing but locked rotor current , generally it is located on compressors name plate, when ever pistons locked at a particular position the rotor does not move further at the time rotor draws large current, that current is located on name plate, by seeing that LRA we can know compressor rotor was locked

So far i didn't get watts on my compressor explaning LRA-does not help ! becouse don't have number to multiply by 220 V in order to get replacement supplyer need watts !

RLA= Rated load amps or running loads amps depending on mfg.
FLA= Full load amps
LRA= Locked rotor amps.
watts is voltage times current, So use 220 time the LRA get that watts or 220 times FLA to get that watts and
multiply 220 times RLA to get watts.

How many LRA in 20562BTU

That makes no sense. LRA is going to be for a motor or compressor. I've never heard of a 20562 BTU machine. You have to read the data plate on the machine, either indoor or outdoor unit will tell you. If you can't read the data plate turn the power off and look at the data plate on the actual motor itself. Good Luck!!

LRA how to convert in tonage so 10 LRA How many ton and 145 LRA Copland scroll compressor tonage value pleas give me answer

LRA on the data tag stands for "locked rotor amps" and has nothing to do with tonnage. In the model # there should be a number to use. And divide that # by 12 (12,000 btu/ton). So if I had a PFG24H200 it would be the "24"and a 2 ton unit

How to find out tonnage from lra

There is 12,000 Btu per ton. Multiply The voltage by the amps (current draw), that equals to watts. Multiply the watts by 3.413 and that is your Btu. Then divide by 12,000 and that's your tonnage.
