Bathtub jets will not start

Our friends just moved into a home they purchased. (5yrs old) and the first time they pushed the button on the top of the bathtub the jets did not start. There is no sound coming from the motor. One month prior to closing they had an inspector check out everything and everything worked. I wonder if when the new owner was cleaning the tub she might have gotten water in and around the start button and it cut something off. I was there yesterday and checked the main circuit breaker box in the garage and all are on. In fact I even checked the GFI next to the sink and that worked. Could there be another GFI I am missing? Need your advice.

Our reset for the jets were hidden in the master closet behind the tub. We also found another access point to the tubs inner workings in the same place. Also, make sure they open all the air intakes and the tub is filled prior to testing. On ours if water is not above a certain level it won't come on.

You have a bad neumatic switch. Or a small hole in the air line. Try pushing the button fast and hard to see if it will stay on. if so , it is a hole in the tube. if not it is your neumatic switch

Pushed button to turn on whirlpool - hear motor - jets don't work

if the motor just hummed then it is likely a bad motor. you will need to replace the pump at that point. Bathtub buttons like the one you have either works or they do not. there isn't any in between areas.

My jetted tub will not work, and it used to work just fine. Nothing happens when i push the button to turn it on. Could this be a switch problem? Also do not hear the motor doing anything when button is pushed. Dou you think I just need to get a new pump??

Can not get the jets to work

Most of the control buttons on a tub are not electrical. These buttons are connected to an air line that runs to the motor. Sometimes an aggressive button push can literally blow the air line right off of the bottom of the button.
This problem is as easy to fix as it sounds. Find the loose air line and push it back onto the button. You will need to open up your access panel. Bring a flashlight.
Be sure to check the connection at the motor too. Good luck

My bathtub jacuzzi wont work. I reset the circuit breakers but nothing. I filled the tub but nothing comes out of the jets

make sure you have power to outlet that motor is plugged into,if so try pushing jet button in tub about ten times in a row quickly then on tenth push use as much force as possible and hold.if this does not work, air hose from back of button to pump motor may be disconnected.

Power switch for whirlpool tub

the easiest thing (maybe) is to install an air switch kit on the side of your tub. Here is a link to the part. Basically you install an air button on the side of the tub, install the air tubing from the nipple on the underside of the air button to the nipple on the box that plugs into an outlet under the tub. The pump plugs into that same box and the air tubing from the air button pushing onto the nipple on the box. When you push the button on the tub it will turn the pump on/off. Air Switch Kit
