I have a lec r450w fridge and the internal bulb needs replacing. There does not seem to be an obvious way to get to the bulb. Do i need to unscrew the temparature control dial to open the panel ?

No, you dont need to touch the temperature control knob. You access the lamp and lampholder from underneath. Get a small thin screwdriver, slide it up the left-hand-side of the opaque plastic (that allows the light to shine through into your fridge). Prize it down, it is not brittle so it should not snap. the opaque cover will come out and the bulb is right there to unscrew. the cover goes back in easier than it comes out, so just reverse the process. Make sure you isolate power to the fridge before you begin.

Hi Mark, thanks for your very helpful description of where the light bulb is. I have the same problem but when I changed the bulb it still didn't work. Any advice on what it could be is much appreciated!

REPLACE LIGHT IN FRIDGE

Hi,
- Unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet.
- Locate the bulb on the inside of the refrigerator.

- Remove the light cover. Usually these just snap off, but, on some models, they may need to be unscrewed. Use your screwdriver to unscrew the light cover retaining screws (if required).
- Unscrew the old light bulb.

- Screw in the new light bulb.

- Replace the light cover. Plug the refrigerator back in. Test your new light bulb.

Hope this helps, please rate if the solution was helpful, thanks!
