Get the SD card for any comuter store, and after you have to install the nav software on it, which for some information regarding the unit I will sell it to you for a rezonable price

OK, what you need to do, is go to the GPS Manufacturers website, download the latest software for your unit and PC. Install this as Administrator. Now connect up your GPS via the USB cable. Then turn on the GPS, then update using this software, Reboot and using it's now, updated software, download, any updates, as may be, from the website, it is all done through the GPS's internal program.

There is generic information only and a video, but the sequence in the graphic is correct. You need a workshop Manual when doing work like this. Some are available online.

I have a 2017 focus titanium. The sat nav keeps giving the wrong exit on roundabouts i.e. "take the first exit" instead the second and the screen beside the speedo gives ridiculous mileages. Tony

Hi there
Seems like the ecu is giving the wrong info to the car.
As your car is new, take it back to dealers and they will look into ecu.

Some Sat Navs can't convert, If it's bought & set to UK & Ireland maps, then you are stuck. 2nd thing , even if you can use Europe Maps on your Sat Nav, you still will be unable, to load USA maps.
Sat Nav not compatable, You will have to buy a NEW ONE.

What does * LIMIT 4 MPH* message means on BMW X5 2001

It sounds like you inadvertently set the speed warning (you can set it in the OBD to warn you if you go over a certain speed). If the car has nav, look under the "settings", second page, and turn it off or set it to something like 85. If you don't have nav, I'm not sure where the setting is but look for "speed warning" in the manual. Hope that helps.

Inaccurate sat nav

You have a few options:-

1) Update your map and or your satnav software/firmware
2) Try and reconfigure your satellite settings
3) Factory reset

There are some good sites out there with plenty of people who have plenty more experience then me, so you could try and get onto the forums and post you question or just search them for your answer.

Yes, Garmin satnavs use Navteq maps. Go to www.Navteq.com and there's a link there called Map Reporter where they take reports of map changes. I have reported several in the past and eventually they all appeared on map updates.
