Try to open you laptop and clean all dust inside, search for the correct drivers of your laptop model. Windows xp is very annoying with specific drivers. Take in caution that your are free of any malware.

You should buy Windows Vista home premium.

Any laptop computer that doesn't have a built-in wireless card can be wireless enabled by installing a PCMCIA wireless card or an USB wireless adapter. Go and see your friendly computer shop.

This is an older model which according to the manual shipped with windows 98. The USB is 1.1 and you will have to find an older flash drive and driver software to have a chance. I don’t think it is worth the trouble. Sorry

10gb of RAM is not enough for Windows XP. You need to upgrade your HDD to about atleast 40 GB HDD Minimal... I'd recommend a new PC if you can get that to work out, but I understand the tuff economical times.. How old is the cd-rom? Dust, and years of use can cause the laser to wear out or misalign.Try blowing hard inside with the drawer open (silly, isn't it? but I am not joking. my place is dust prone and I have to do that all the time). But if it is as old as the operating system, maybe it is time to get a new drive.

Yes my friend. Toshiba recovery cd cant be downloaded online. U need to purchase one from toshiba. Or if you want, you can purchase a retail version of windows then download the toshiba drivers from support.toshiba.com

Clean the CD and see if that works. Are there any scratches on it?

Unfortunately I was unable to find a step by step guide for you, however I found a picture of the backside of your laptop. There should be only one screw to remove the cd rom drive located where the red arrow is pointing;

Simply remove that screw and pull out the drive :-)
