How do I turn off the backlight in my Stanley fat max power it 1000 amp?

Press and hold the "+ - units" button and hold for over one second. It should then let you select your units of measure. In this case it should be the second selection, which is "0.00 ft". there is a little black button on the end where the blade comes out. With the blade in the out position,push in the button and pull out the blade. With button pushed insert new blade or turn the old one around to use the other end.let go of the button and you are ready to go.

I had to go onto You Tube to figure this one out.... turns out its really easy. I still cannot believe Stanley couldn't bother to include instructions!
