I keep getting the message that I am signed out. At bottom it says "sign in" BUT I click on it or press OK and nothing happens. No matter how many times I shut off the TV and go back in I get the same message. HOW DO I SIGN IN IF IT WON'T LET ME?????

Try this - go to BIOS (while you see ACER logo press F2 (or other key, it should be shown below the logo)) and select setting called something like "Restore Defaults" or "Load System Defaults" or "Optimal Settings". When it asks "Are you sure", pres Y then Enter. Tell me what happens.

On the PR-500 and the PR-505 readers it IS possible to delete a book without going through your computer. Go into utilities, select delete book, and when told to push the Mark button, which you don't have, push bookmark instead and wait.
