Yes , if the message come with -3 with tools it mean your car overdue for service by 3 days. now it's time to get for service. get your new service done as soon as possible, is this information helped you?

sounds like a mass air flow senser, this senses load on the engine,you can buy an insert which is a quarter the price of a new unit. the e-class gave a lot of trouble with this senser.

In the end I took into Mercedes dealer and paid the price !!

This needs to be done by the dealer using their computers.

Take it in and ask them to do this. Of course it should have been done with your last service.

Keep in mind that although it's expensive to keep getting it serviced at the dealer, it will help hold the resale value.

Try ebay I got one for my 400E for 12.95. They get sold there alot. Dealer may carry it also.
