From my C 785 TU laptop, Suddenly i lose the audio driver. So pls provide me the same.

    Thanks for ur prompt response but how I came to know that which one is the audio driver????above link doesn't show where specifically audio driver exists??

    Hi Vande,


    When you open the Compaq page link I have provided, you will find a list of operating systems on it. Select your operating system (for example Windows Vista), then you'll see a list of downloads beginning with Driver -Audio, Chipset, Video, and so on....Download the audio driver which you require.  Also, your laptop doesn't support Windows Xp, so you'll not find Audio/Video drivers for XP

After reinstalling/installing an Operating System you can lose the Audio Drivers or sometimes they just corrupt.. Try reinstalling the Audio Drivers from the disk provide with your P.C./Laptop. If you no longer have the disk just visit the website of the makers of your P.C./Laptop or Motherboard and download the Audio Drivers from there, after that install them.

Drivers for Wi-Fi (drivers for Ethernet Controller and Modem Device on high definition audio bus)
Not much offered at Compaq's driver site for XP. For the modem driver, try the link below, it says it's for Vista, but it should work. If it doesn't then you will need the make and model of the modem, then go to the manufacturer's site or driverguide.com for the drivers, and the same for the wireless, make and model, manufacturer's site or driver guide. To be honest with you, modems are just about obsolete, unless you have dial up at home, you'll probably never use it.
