SOURCE: Motor goes on/off every few second.

You have problem with the motor compressor,it is trying to start, but cannot for one reason or another, could be siezed motor, sticking start relay.etc'
It is stopping and starting due to the motor overload device cutting in and out. it acts as a safety device.
This is usually associated with a serious malfunction..Plz rate my solution.

Fridge keeps freezing up
That sounds like a defrost issue the timer may be bad or the heater element or the limit switch. Most of the time one would replace all three. One can try the defrost timer by advancing it to see if the heater comes on. When advanced the fan should stop running and element will heat up.Try it

Empty fridge and if possible put steam down vent behind the cover in the freezer section. or hot water. it will com out in the fridge so be carefull. this unblocks the aif feed from the freezer to the fridge section. also make sure the fan is working.

My cpca 291 fxk problem is freezer frosting up and struggles to freeze things and fridge is not cold enough
sounds like your fan motor has seized or burnt out a winding,, this will need replacing. check by holding lid open to raise temp but at the same time hold down the button that the lid presses on when its shut, after about 10min the fan should run.
