I've done what it says and I still am unable to run DVD's.

It is possible that your VGA is malfunctioning. But you will notice it when the screen resolution is set to a specific resolution and color depth.
Games play at it's own resolution. Not at the resolution you set for Windows. Probably WoW is setting the screen resolution and color depth to a values at which the VGA fail.
Did you try changing the screen resolution in WoW options? If not try it. Also try changing color depth.
Also, download GPUZ and check your VGA.
Best of luck!
If you Right clik on the desktop, you will open a window, and at the bottom will be "personalize",(assuming you have Vista).Or even XP will do the same, just called different.Look for "Display Settings" and you will find "Screen Resolution" and "Colors". Try different Res's until it looks good to screen size, and lower your "Colors" to >16 bit.
video card may not be capable of that resolution and color depth, check your video cards max resolution and color depth. I have several lcd monitors that are 1280x 1024 and they do not need drivers to work. the video card must be capable of generating that resolution.
You need to try what it says try lowering the or color depth try 1024 X768 256 colors if that doesn't work try 800 X 640 256 colors Right Mouse click on the desktop where a Icon isn't go down to properties regular click go to settings change the screen resolution and color depth and color quality to above suggestions apply changes try your movie
You don't saty what OS you have, but in Windows: open Control Panel, Dbl-click Display, click on the "settings" tab, then slide the slider to the resolution you want.
Have you tried using different players? One of my favorite players is VLC. You can google it and download it for free. It is a bit difficult to figure out at first but it will handle just about any type of video even fragmented.
What version of DirectX are you using? Have you installed any programs recently that may have installed a lower version of DirectX?

Do you have Novell Networking? the above site states the same problem.
Have you tried a firmware update for the dvd player?
Let me know what happens.
Good Luck,
Tim
