Samsung V25. When i try to turn it on nothing happens. Even when it is plugged into the mains the little light is orange then when i try to turn it on both lights go green, then one goes off straight away and the other light goes orange again after a few seconds. what is the problem with it?

you either have a faulty power supply or faulty main board. Vizio power supplies on the older sets are pretty decent. It's usually the main boards that go. These older main boards tend to be pricey so it may be better to buy a new set.

Hi if the main brick has got an orange light then this is telling you the mains lead is working so try doing the following

1 unplug all leads from back of xbox and turn the power brick off at mains
2 plug the power lead back into the xbox, now when you push it in and it stops try pushing it in a little bit further usually they just dont push in far enough and it can be quite tight so make sure you are pushing it in hard enough,
3 now plug the video lead in and try switching it on,
keep an eye on the orange light whilst you switch it on if it comes on then it should continue to work if it dont come on watch the orange light and see it if changes color at the same time your switching it on, it will either flash green or red just once before going back to orange.

The mainboard is definitely defect.Since it cannot power on, and there is no beep. The MB is defect.

try this ,unplug power cord turn off computer, (if you have switch) there should be no electricity. Remove little battery that you have on your board,wait for 10 sec. and pull it back in, that will restart cmos to default values.PLug power cord, turn on computer. Post me what happened.

take it back and replace it it should still be under warrantie

ALLOW IPOD TO RUN DOWN..BY LEAVING ON.THEN FULLY CHARGE.TURN ON AND IT SHOULD RESET ITSELF IF NOT LET ME KNOW.I WILL ADVISE FURTHER.RICHARDM69

This could be the power supply baord / Bad Caps/ They will be puffed up..
Or if the inverter board is bad** Inverter board lights the backlights.

Try to diagnose the problem first...

1. Turn it On your Laptop
2. If you have CRT Monitor? connect it to your Laptop if they have screen appears.
3. If they have display your LCD have a problem.

One way to make sure the system is still working, remove the Batery, then plug the power adapter only and turn the computer back on, normally if the laptop goes into Hybernation mode and the battery is low on power this can happen. If that fixes the system then you can do a safe shutdown and re-install the battery and turn your laptop on and it should come on, the fact that you mentioned this has happened before makes me believe it is Hybernation issue.
