Engine won't stay running. Seams to turn over fine but acts as if it is not getting fuel.

Have you checked the sediment bowl for water? Possibly there is some bad gas if you have let the mower sit for months with gas in the tank. If you empty the gas tank and start fresh. Also add about a tablespoon of acetone to a full tank . If you're having a fuel issue this will fix it. If not then the carb needs to be rebuilt.

Remove the old fuel from the tank. Change the gas filter if there is one. Get a can of spray carburetor cleaner and a can/bottle of fuel line cleaner. Spray carburetor cleaner in the carburetor where you put the gas ( remove the air cleaner) . Pour the fuel line cleaner in the gas tank with fresh gas and try to start the mower. Spary some carbuerator cleaner in the carburetor and try to start the mower a few times.

Mower seems it does not take in the fuel, when it does its slow? because it runs very slow and then it dies Murray 22" 4.25 hp

Remove carb from mower being careful to remember where all springs and rods are placed. Go to local auto parts and buy a can of spray carb cleaner and spray carb as thourogh as you can, spaying every hole you can see inside and out. Remove air screw from carb and spray through the hole and clean tip of screw. Screw in finger tight and back out one and a half turns. Put carb back on and prime it with just a small amount of clean fuel. May also want to check tank to be sure there is no dirt inside, if there is you should remove it and clean it out.

Yes, go to most any autoparts store and get a bottle of a fuel additive called seafoam. Follow the directions. As the newly treated fuel goes through the enging it will clean it, removing any debris which is now causing yout engine to lope and die. J.

I have a murray 4hp that runs 15 sec per prime then stalls.

First. try using Carb Cleaner from spray can to clean carb throat, and putting Carb Cleaner in fuel tank.
If this does not work-
Removal of Carb is probably needed. Sounds like Carb is clogged and needs to be cleaned.
If this is a Briggs engine and the Carb sits on top of the fuel tank, can be that the pick up tube from tank to carb is clogged.
