You have dual climate control and one part is defective.

Vickie, your heater core and duct work for it, are all above the location you are getting drip from. So it makes sense that the heater core is leaking. Link to video will show whats up.

patriots have all kinds of cooling problems,make sure that you have enough tranny fluid in it and remember your torque converter uses about 4 quarts,the tranny has a cooler in the radiator,replace the radiator with one that has 2 rows of cooling,your radiator is going to die just like the rest of patriots

fan blows?
engine reaches and holds 180F or more , normal engine temp?
(use a IR pyro gun to measure it)
ever go a cooling system flush, if not the heater core could be packed full of junk.
id the dampers fail , its not in heat mode.
check the dampers after checking engine heat.

it only takes 2 things to make any water to air heat exchanger to work.
hot water
and actual air flow.

check for hot water first (engine coolant)

its a heat exhanger.
1: the water is not 180F or more.
2: the water is not flowing through the core
3: or the air cant pass through the core.
bad water temp,. bad flows, or the damper is in the wrong position.

i plug in my scan tool and the ECT reads 180f or more. holding
cool real hot water.
i then feel both water lines to the core (dial set to hot)
both are hot, if not , the core is plugged or the water valve (if present)
is clogged.
ok both lines 180f roasting hot, finger test or better IR pyro gun.,
must be damper stuck blocking core, or huge mouse nest inside.

if the core is hot, we check damper controls
there are 3 systems, and some cars have a mix
open FSM to HVAC section,, bingo there you go...
cable, vacuum servo and damper motors.
some are a mix. min 04 is mix. my jeep 08 is vacuum
my 96 is cables.
id dont matter,. there is a simple test for each
the motor kind are the hair pulling kind, (invisible)

i went online
the patriot has at least 2 cables, blend./temp, and mode
so there is water valve, so he damper if open on temp you get
full heat, just eyes on that lever ,cable and end of cable tells
you if the door is opening.

3: leaks (not glass spray but in system)
4: noises. bad.
5: blows the fuse ?
6: what kind to use, fluid.?
7: how high to fill it>?

you need to use a window crank removing tool and remove handle. Make sure window is all the way up before reinstalling handle on splines.
