Delete phone book names - Cell Phones

Press the "Contacts" or "Address Book" icon. Scroll through the list and highlight the contact you want to delete. Tap the "Menu" key and select "Delete Contact" or a similarly named option. Some cell phones will prompt you to confirm the deletion

To delete a contact, simply delete their phone number from your phone's address book:

1. Open WhatsApp and go to the Chats tab.
2. Tap the new chat icon > Tap the contact > Tap the name at the top of the chat screen.
3. Tap the Menu Button > View in address book > Menu Button > Delete.

Press and hold contact name and select delete

To delete a contact from your address book:

1. In the Address Book, select a contact, then select Delete from the Contacts menu or select Delete from the right-click menu.
   
2. In the Delete From Address Book window, confirm the deletion by clicking the Yes button.
   
   To delete one or more contacts from your Messenger List:
   

1. In your Messenger List, select one or more contact names (hold down the Ctrl key while selecting multiple names), then select Delete from the Contacts menu or select Delete from the right-click menu.
   The Delete Contact window opens.
   
2. Confirm the deletion by clicking the Yes button.
   

   Tip: Check Delete From Address Book, too to remove this contact from your Yahoo! Contacts
   

All you need is to select the messages from the OUTBOX in the messages folder and select the ones to be delected, open options on the left hand upperr side and select delete. Also if you want these names to be deleted from your names list then select from the phone book/contacts and select the ones to be deleted. repeat for any more names you wish to be removed.

Go to Phone book on your phone. It will display the Names List/Phone numbers you have saved.
Click on the number you want to edit/delete. Once the name/number is displayed, click on options and then Edit/Delete the Name/Number.

If two contacts in a same name are available in your phone the particular name will not display.Phone contact and sim contact are unable to use symaltanously. So, the best way if you want to display contact name is delete one contact which is in the sim/phone.1000% Ok.

Check may be you have saved names on phone aswell as sim.

So delete some name in "sim" memory and check.

• On the Home screen, click Address Book.
• Open the menu and select SIM Phone Book.
• To delete an entry, highlight it, open the menu, and select Delete.
• When the Delete Phone Book Entry? message box appears, click Delete.

Press 1# then find the number without a name and either edit or delete it

Hi cburke. Had this same problem. go to the phonebook, scroll to the number you want to delete and then press menu. it will take you to the edit screen then select delete, or whatever you want to do with the number. Simple really, but instructions with this phone are awful.
