Touchpad on Packard Bell Easynote not responding

Suddenly the touchpad on my Packard Bell EasyNote stopped responding - works with mouse but cannot re-enable touchpad...when I look in the Control Panel, the only option I can see is to disable the mouse but then I am back to my original problem...have tried each Function key but nothing seems to work?
Please help.

The fn key and one of the f keys should turn this on and off, if not
its possible the cable from the touchpad to the motherboard is loose or the touchpad is bad

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Frozen touchpad packard bell easynote

Try a cold-start, unplug, removebattery, leave out, plug in boot normally. If that fails restore to a date before this issue. Reinstall drivers if necessary. http://www.packardbell.co.uk/pb/en/GB/content/download

I buy PC packard bell easynote_TS11HR-032FR and the touchpad does not work, when i use my pc for the first time.

Check this:
Many laptops with touchpads have a switch or a keyboard combo that will disable the touchpad. Look to see if there is a little button you can push located near the touchpad. Alternately, there is normally a Fn-special function key combination you can use. You press the Fn key and also the special function key that has a little symbol on it that looks like a touchpad. That can turn the touchpad on or off.

Hi, my brother has locked the touchpad/mouse part of my mums laptop and I cant find out how to unfreeze/unlock this. It is a packard bell easynote tj61.

there are a few button over the keyboard, one of them is the switch of you touchpad mouse.

If the led of the touchpad mouse button is on, then the touchpad is unlocked.
And viceverse.

Good Luck. Remember to rate my answer.

could be malware infection but before, open and check that touchpad to motherboard interface flex is ok and well plugged in the socket. also uninstall all touchpad drivers, run a malware removal tool then, scan for new hardware..

Pressing F6 on your laptop will disable the touch pad or one of the F keys that has a picture of a finger.
