Thermastat location where is the thermastat on a 96 odyassey

check coolant level, check coolant flow (thermastat), verify air ducts to the heater core are opening properly, verify heater core is not clogged.

It's located on the back of the engine, behind the distributor, at the end of the radiator hose.

YOUR RADIATOR IS EMPTY!!!!!

THE THERMASTAT WILL BE LOCATED AT THE ENGINE SIDE OF THE RADIATOR HOSE! ON THE ENGINE, YOU WILL SEE TWO BOLTS HOLDING THE INLET ON THE ENGINE! DRAIN THE RADIATOR, AND REMOVE THE HOSE FROM THE ENGINE INLET! UNBOLT THE INLET, AND YOU WILL SEE THE THERMASTAT, REPLACE IT IN THE SAME WAY THE OLD ONE COMES OUT, (USUALLY THE SPRING SIDE WILL GO IN TOWARD ENGINE)! THEN PLACE THE NEW GASKET ON THE INLET, AND REBOLT IT TO THE ENGINE! REPLACE THE HOSE, TIGHTEN IT DOWN, ADD ANTIFREEZE TILL FULL, START ENGINE, AND CHECK FOR LEAKS! YOU CAN REMOVE THE RADIATOR CAP AND WATCH THE COOLANT, AS THE THERMASTAT OPENS, THE COOLANT WILL START MOVING! REPLACE THE CAP,

Where the upper radiator hose goes into the engine. Remove the hose there and remove the thing the hose clamps to. The thermostat is there.

theres no such as thermastatic leak but theres only three things it can be....

you might have to put in a lower temp.thermastat so like if it has a 195 put in like 180 or whatever you can get that is cooler than whats in it and it should say the temp.right on the old thermastat.Call a parts house and ask them what temp ranges of thermastats they have for your year make and model of car.

it could be a clogged heater core

normally this located by the thermastat housing if you follow the hose upper radiator hose to the thermastat housing there is a little plug with a wire on it and that is the temp sensor
