The problem is not the motor.Coffee grinders must only be used with coffee. Even the beans used must be of quality suitable for the grinder. Too oily blends will result in a jammed grinder, as happened after grinding the nuts.

The repair is done disassembling the grinder, cleaning mechanics and reassembling. Unless you have disassembled a similar appliance before (eg. a blender gear box), there is a good chance that the attempt of fixing the grinder will result in more problems.

Rather than disassembling, a good alternative for the user is calling the Breville number listed on the grinder manual, and discussing repair with the manufacturer.
