When you see this message, wait until the OK message is enabled. Tap the OK button and then resume sewing. Look in your owner's manual. I'm sure your machine has a reverse feed button but don't know if you can manually disable the feed teeth. If it is so equipped, it doesn't drop the teeth. Rather, it simply causes them to go straight up and down. If the teeth truly stay below the needle plate level, they are likely out of adjustment and need to bereadjusted and raised.
Problem is probably with the feed stepper motor or the reverse cams are locked. What happens when reverse button is activated. If no change it's probably the feed stepper motor. Suggest you take it to an authorized husqvarna viking dealer for service. On all sewing machines there is a button or lever which makes the machine go backward. The button could be stuck, if so put a drop of oil on it and try to release it. If there is a lever that has been raised which puts the machine in reverse, simply lower it to the lowest position. This should solve the problem.
