Campbell Hausfeld air gun has air coming from the nose tip and no nails

If air is coming out from the nose tip but the nailer is not firing any nails, it could indicate a problem with the driver blade or piston assembly. Check if the driver blade moves freely and is not damaged. Make sure the piston assembly is properly aligned and lubricated. Also, check the nail magazine to ensure that it is properly loaded and the nails are the correct size for the nailer. If the problem persists, it may be necessary to take the nailer to a professional for repair.

"Hauser", eh? Campbell Hausfeld may be the brand you are referring to, unless you bought a really cheap knockoff of a really cheap product (or just can't bother to spell)

Does the campbell hausfeld model sb504000 2 inch nailer/stapler need an external air to get started?

Sb504000 works just fine with pressure range from 60 to 120 psi depending on material. Any small compressor will work great. Using the gun at max pressure will shorten the life of the gun. Best practice is to set pressure to just under 100psi for most work and increase pressure when nailing hard wood. Using at max pressure will strain the driver and the lower part of gun (screws that hold nose to body). Some hard woods will bend an 18 gauge nail. Good luck with your gun and have fun with your projects.

I have three nailers from CH and all of them sound like there is not enough pressure to fire the nail when i depress the trigger. i hear air escape, but it is at a reduced level compared to normal...

Check and adjust the air pressure at the compressor. All air tools have a recommended range of pressure, and you may not have enough air for the tool to work. Also, place two drops of pneumatic oil or light machine oil into the air inlet at the nailer, and then connect the hose. Fire the gun several times into scrap wood. Oil with 2 drops daily.

I have a 34 degree Campbell Hausfeld framing gun and after connecting it to the air compressor and with 125 lbs. air pressure I click the trigger and it doesn't fire.

May just be a stuck headvalve or safety is not pushing trigger pin all the way into trigger valve. If trigger pin is being pushed up all the way into valve, check headvalve. Remove head and try to press in headvalve with thumbs. If it feels stuck, apply air pressure to vent hole on gasket surface to pop it out. Apply silicone paste lube to surface and orings. Re-install and check. If head valve was not stock, lube and replace head.

Two nails at a time and one of them only goes in one quarter of an inch.

Campbell hausfeld makes a 21 and 34 degree angle nail gun. The most common mistake is the wrong nails are being used. Some after market nails will not work correctly in some guns. Check to see if the gun accepts wire welded or paper clip nails. Check the angle required. Also be sure the gun is oiled if it is not an oil- less gun. hope this helps.
