Usually there is a light that will light up on your keyboard when caps lock is activated. Press caps lock again to turn off the light and thus turn off caps lock.
The third one is probably Scroll lock. On your keyboard you should see a key labels Scroll Lock or it may be abbreviated. The key may also have the same symbol as the light. You turn Scroll lock on and off the same way as turning Num Lock on and off. Usually involves using the FN key + Scroll Lock.
First thing we want to do is verify that your keyboard & mouse and plugged into the correct places and are powered up and able to work.
Turn your computer on and look at your keyboard and tell me if any lights are on to show that it has power and is operational.
Watch the keyboard lights until the computer gets to the login page and tell me if the lights come on and stay on? Or do the lights turn on for a moment and then turn off again?
If you do not see any lights, please clarify if there are NO LIGHTS on your style of keyboard or if there are lights but they are not lighting up.
If your keyboard has lights and they are not lighting up at all, then turn off the computer and unplug the mouse and keyboard and swap them around. Then turn the computer on again and tell me if the lights come on and the mouse and keyboard become operational.
Once we verify this we can continue to the next step of troubleshooting. Please report what you find and I will help you solve this.
Turn you computer off. Check to see if the keyboard is plugged in all the way. Now turn the system on. Do the lights on the keyboard flash when the system turns on? Can you push the caps lock key and get the caps lock light to turn on? Can you push the numlock key and get the numlock light to turn on?
No? Well I would then try another keyboard. It's quite possible yours is broken.
most probably there is chip falilure, connector wire break, or broken connector pins. if u u not getting any of the lights coming on, then it is certain that ur keyboard is dead.
