Is there a pc driver available for this phone?

I have installed the device manager but it doesn't seem to recognize the phone. When I try to run the program all it will do is check for updates the shut down. It will recognize my MotoX but still only gives me the options to check for device updated or update device manager. I have installed the device manager but it doesn't seem to recognize the phone.
