I really don't want to be "that guy", but people who aren't trained STIHL mechanics or at LEAST mechanically trained, shouldn't work on higher end saws like STIHL, because people with a little bit of experience can mess something up, then blame the machine because they mess something up and start trashing the brand when it's their fault for not knowing what they're doing.
Oct 4, 2006 - I am in the process of rebuilding my Stihl chainsaw carb. I am having troubles identifying this Stihl model. The only sticker on the saw is 311Y.
I don't have a diagram or the part numbers to the minor and major repair kits, but a Stihl dealer should be able to help. Tell him you need a kit for a ZAMA C1Q type carb. The exploded view should be with the kit.
