Sounds like the chain guides are missing.  They're flat steel parts, one on each side of the bar...Here's a husqvarna diagram:
http://wssemw.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF  Select side cover, guide plates.  Could be called anything by Craftsman!  If you have one of these on each side of the bar, then I'd guess you're missing washers under the nut(s).  Sears should have this available; I'm sure I have a blow-up diagram on microfische if it's an older model.

Now, if you mean it tightens, but not enough to keep the chain tight once it starts cutting, you're likely missing the bar tension adjusting screw/nut, or it's stripped.  Call Sears, and I'm sure they can direct you where to go online for the diagram.

Get blade rotor to tighten correctly

The chain keeps slipping off my craftman gas chainsaw

You need to tighten the chain. Loosen the nuts that hold the blade on just a little, then look on the inside of the blade. You will see a screw to tighten the blade. The chain should not be tight. There should be a little space between the chain and the bar. You should not be able to see the guide teeth of the chain. Just about 1/32 of an inch. When you tighten the blade back up, if you had it too lose, it will tighten the chain back to, too tight.

Craftsman LT2000 Blade is staying engaged all the time, just did a blade mandrel replacement, where does the spring for the blade control reattach? What would make the blades be in motion all the time?...

sounds like you may not have the right mandrels making the belt to tight and it cant be left loose enough to allow the blades to quit turning.Otherwise you didnt put the belt back on correctly if it is around the tightener pully the wrong way that to will make the belt to tight

I need instructions to change the blades

There should be a chain tension screw to tighten, or slacken the chain.
You should be able to loosen the chain enough to remove it.
Be sure to draw on a piece of paper the way the saw teeth are pointing first.
It wont cut if you install it backwards.

How do i change the blade on my circular swaw

The blade is held in place by a bolt. Some models have a locking mechanism for the shaft. some do not. Either depress the spindel lock or use a piece of wood or similar to stop the blade from rotating and using the correct wrench size for the bolt head, turn the bolt counter clockwise to loosen and remove the nut. Insert the new blade and reverse the process by hoding the blade in place and tightening the bolt head clockwise

Cant get the cover back on chainsaw

The chain brake should have been released before removing the cover. You will have to release it with a large flat-blade screwdriver in the connector that runs the brake from the control handle. Hope this helps!

14'' Sears craftsman bandsaw blade slips off, not much power

It sounds to me like the blade has stretched which the do in changing temperatures.
Try replacing the blade before you give up altogether. i was having the same problem with a Ryobi Blade would come off whenever i tried to cut a pice of 3 ply. I eventually replaced the blade and all ny troubles evaporated.

I can't get the blade tight enough

If you tightened it enough and it still slips than it may be missing a spacer Try adding a washer to the arbor of the same size on the nut side of the blade.
