Find a friend.
Probably at an Audio Store, ask for them to come over.
Or someone in a recording or radio studio.
Peace-

SOURCE: setting up home stereo/receiver

One of the shortfalls of recievers is there's no line outs from anything before signal gets to the amplifier because the amplifiers built in. This is a longshot......... but if you could hook up the eq to the tape in/ outs then send signal from cd, radio, whatever, to tape and can monitor the tape return ( if the reciever has a tape monitor button ) then it may work.

How to hook up a ADC equalizer to a Denon receiver.

Being that most AVRs designed today no longer provide a Pre-Out and Main Amp In that work in conjunction, there's no easy way to loop an external EQ through the receiver for playback with all sources. Also, given the fact that most receivers designed today either include some type of room correction software (Audyssey) or a Manual EQ for internal equalization, there is less of a need to integrate an external EQ with your receiver.

Hello,i recently purchased a graphic equalizer on ebay to work in conjuction with a tape deck, two turntables, two cd players, two mics and a mixer. The model of the unit is a ADC SS-115,i got it home...

I admire your desire to make a nice piece of classic gear whole again but the cost of simply replacing it with a fully functional one is probably less.

Having owned an old Sound Shaper with mechanical sliders I can tell you that you will eventually start to encounter noisy contacts and slider that will drive you crazy. I only used mine for recording and eventually I could never trust the sliders to move without inducing noise. I eventually got an ADC SS-525X with all electronic sliders, Real Time Analyzer/EQ display, 4 curve memories, remote control and life is good.

Surf over to eBay and look around.

There's one SS-525X with no mention of the Remote or calibration mic (which I have but never used anyway). The display lights up in that bright Fluorescent Blue....

I don't know how to hook up my phonograph to my stereo, graphic equalizer, and speakers.

Some make/model information might help us/you find the manuals.

Generally, Line Level OUTs to Line Level INs; and PHONO only goes to PHONO unless there is a PHONO preamp somewhere in-line with it (sometimes built-in to newer turntables).

Start surfing for the manuals if you don't have them.

You might find it them the manufacturer's support site, by using a common search engine or these guys...

retrevo.com

hifiengine.com
usermanualguide.com
vinylengine.com

Search Engine of your choice: "(product) manual"

Can I still used this equipment

Hi Jerome

You will need either a pre-in pre-out connection on the amp to use, A vcr in/out loop can be used in lieu of a "tape" loop. Or alternatively you can put the EQ in line with the bit of gear you want to EQ. In this day and age, of "many more than stereo" systems, a 2 channel EQ has much less application. Although this seems to "outdate" a piece of gear, most stuff from yesteryear still sounds great, so why stop using it. Good Luck and happy listening. A "FixYa" rating from you would help my profile. I am happy to answer any questions you may still have, put them in here and I shall get back to you.

GRaeme
