Have "lost" a number of Channels. The channels are there but they are not the correct programs. I have rescanned, i returned to soft factory settings but still the missing channels are still missing!

Try this simple trick:
Reset to Factory Settings >
Remove device from electrical supply/outlet >
Without the electrical source connected >
Press and hold the power button for 10 to 20 seconds >
Release/press-free the power button >
after a minute or so connect device to power source/electricity>
Turn device on > Do a fresh research>
See if everything is ok.
If not, see if there is any updates available for your device.
If update is available, go on update.
If yet the problem remains unsolved there might be some
sort of board level component failed or failing > usually electrolytic capacitors, especially at the power supply sector.
Hope this info helps you out.

How many capacitors does the charging stand 981481-001 have? And are they available?

All chargers with sophisticated circuitry for regulation and timing have a number of capacitors inside. The more intelligent the charger the more sophisticated the circuity and generally the more capacitors are included.

The capacitors are of two types, electrolytic and none-electrolytic of which there are many types. The electrolytic capacitors are generally of high capacity (many microfarads) with a low voltage tolerance and are polarity conscious and the other types are generally of small fractions of a microfarad but tolerant of much higher voltages and are not polarity conscious.

The former type are mostly used to help regulation and smooth lower frequency ripples and the second type helps remove or suppress transients and component-created noise and suchlike that occur in any mains electric supply and apparatus where rapid switching takes place.

Capacitors rarely fail, unlike resistors and semiconductors though electrolytics sometimes do, especially when they grow old. Almost without exception the capacitors and other discrete components used in such circuitry are standardised items and can be sourced form a multitude of mail-order outlets, constructor stores and the local electronics repair shop.

I have an old Craftsman bench grinder that I got at an auction. I need a capacitor and the one on it has no markings. It is a 1hp model 319.19063. Sears Parts direct says that it is no longer available and...

this is a "Split-Phase"motor it uses only a run capacitor and a typical capacitance rated MFD rating will be between 80 and 290 MFD, go to www. grainger..com and they will have your part, and even if its an older unit and the model/serial/number is available take it with you & they will have a replacement capacitor available in the correct size/dimension/mfd/etc

It won't start up...just hums and than blows the breaker. Thinking it is probably the motor and so we tried sourcing replacement motors but to no avail...Disappointed..the pump is 3 years old

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

It could be the pump is bound up but it is more likely the motor is failing. Check the pump for debris first. If it is clear and turns freely it's the motor. It may be a small part such as the capacitor or the starting switch, but could also be more severe such as the winding itself. You will also want to examine the shaft where it passes thru the pump and motor and look for signs of rust from a pump seal leak.

If you are not familiar with testing these parts your best bet would be a local electric motor repair shop to see if the motor can be repaired or if it would need to be replaced. They should also be able to ensure there is no pump damage. If you wish to continue to try to repair it yourself please comment with any questions you have as you work thru the pump and motor.

Replacement motors for that pump are commonly available. AOSmith makes one with part #STS1102RV1.

NEED VALUE OF CAPACITOR ON MODEL 1010MP FAN. CAN'T FIND ANY INFO ON THE PART.

You can use any capacitor of value about 3.3mF to about 6.8mF with an AC voltage rating of about 230 to 250 volts.
These are the bipolar type capacitors and is generrally available at all electrical or electronic spare parts shops.
Hope this helps.
