Did you open the top of the machine and oil every place where metal rubs against metal? Did you do the same under the machine? Use only GOOD quality sewing machine oil. If the machine is slow to recover (it may take a while for the oil to sink in), you can direct hot air from a handheld hairdryer into the internal mechanics. AVOID trying to run the machine until it moves freely or possibly risk damaging the motor.
Slow is due to friction in the shuttle drive and key moving bars and joint. Apply few drops of petrol/kerosene and run for few minutes. Then apply normal lubricating oils meant for machines.
Try using a little WD-40 on a cotton swab on all moving parts of the retractable movement. I would be a little afraid to try light machine oil like 3 in 1 because you don't want an oily surface attracting dust, further aggravating the problem. WD might help free it up and not leave an oily mess when it dries.
Hello, if the manual say not to oil it then don't, some machines parts are soaked in the oil & the more the machine is used when the parts get hot the oil come out of the parts & lubricates them
if the machine is running slow, it could be the motor going out, power cord or foot pedal,
when was the last time it was serviced? they need servicing at least once a year
Hello. This sounds like the power supply to the motor is insufficient. Eliminate any extension cord you may be using and plug directly into a recepticle. If this doesn't work you may need to run a new circuit. If your compressor has a relief valve pull the valve to release pressure while it is trying to start. This should help it by lowering the pressure it has to over come.
