I turned the narration button on and now I can't get my lock screen to slide up. It just keeps talking but it won't let me do anything

I powered my phone off, took the battery off, and the yellow box that outlines the screen and certain items I touch on the screen are still there and narrating every move I make

can you do this? Keep pressing the volume up button and then at same time press the windows key. The narrator stops... Also..... You can lock/unlock your phone ??even when you are narrator mode. I learnt that.... Difficult to explain... 1) press the lock button. 2) try swiping up... Try swiping left to right.. It will say something thing such as containers and Items. 3) At some point it will say lockscreen,, double tap to unlock... 4) you have to double tap. Your phone is unlocked. You can navigate through out the phone ?? and go settings and turn off the narratorhttps://www.reddit.com/r/windowsphone/co...

My jitterbug smart phone keeps talking and saying unlabeled won't let me go to home screen

Probably in narrator mode, tap what you want to open than double tap to open. Scroll with 2 fingers. Go to settings, accessibilities and narrator mode and off. If that doesnt work there could be a button combo to turn on and off.

The tablet keeps talking

Go to the Home Page, Menu, Settings, then look for Voice Guide or Narrator. It could be in an "Ease of Access" or other area. Turn off the narrator or voice guide.

How do I shut off talking navigator on windows 8

Here are a few things to try:
[WIN]+[ENTER] (seems to turn narrator on and off)
[CAPS LOCK] + [ESC] (Seems to turn off narrator)
Win 8.1: Control Panel > Optimize visual display (Ease of Access > Ease of Access Center > Make the Computer Easier to see) > uncheck "Turn on Narrator".

I accidentally turned on Windows Narrator using [win]+[enter], so my control panel didn't have the narrator box checked... which means going to control panel didn't turn it off. Finding those hotkeys came in very handy.
