SOURCE: how do i wire a qvc subwoofer to a 3000w 1ohm stable monoblock amp
depends on the amplifier if you have a mono block amp or a regular 2 output amp if it is 2 output make sure to bridge and that means the negative to one output and positive to the other output then need to find out the rms on the speaker. the amp should have the ability to adjust it you might want to get a digital multimeter set it to watts and make sure you only set it to the RMS of the speaker because max handling should be the 1800 and usually the RMS is half the max so it should be 900 w again it depends on the amp and were the adjusting knob is and or if it has one
SOURCE: three jl w3 single coil
You can't run parrallel on 3 single voice coil subwoofers. If you run all the negatives from each coil and possitives from each coil to one terminal you will be dividing the ohms by 3. I don't think JL ever made a single voice coil 2 ohm subwoofer though. If you ran a parrallel on 3 8 ohms you would be at 2.7 ohms. 3 4 ohm would put you down to 1.3
SOURCE: how do i hook up the voice coils up to 2ohm stable?
depends on the impedance of the coils on your subs and if they are single coils or dual coils. If you are trying to achieve a 2 ohm load then a pair of 4 ohm coils in parallel will do the job.If you have dual 4 ohm coils on your subs then you will have to use only one coil from each sub which will still give you the 2 ohm load that you seek but it will affect the power handling of the subs by half as you are only using half of the coils.

more than likely it will overheat at .5 ohm
SOURCE: How can I wire 2-
Hi, I doubt you will get good sound from full range speakers wired in series. This works OK for some subs, but not for the rest of the spectrum. What I recommend is to wire in the 2-ohm speakers to this amp, and either leave the other speakers without additional amplification or to get another 2-channel amp with 4-ohm stability for the 4-ohm speakers. If you don't have room for another amp, then get a 4-channel amp with a 2-ohm spec. The wiring of the 4-channel amp depends on the number of inputs. If it has 4 inputs, the wiring is straightforward. If it has only 2 inputs, use the preamp outputs from the head unit or just the front speaker outputs (if the head unit has no preamp outputs) to drive the amp. In the latter case, you will lose fade control unless it is included in the amp. Please let me know if you have more questions, and thanks for using FixYa.
