Contact cleaner does not belong anywhere near a belt but that is probably not what caused it. You do not list the model number but many tape decks can be found on the PRB cross reference Pdf that is free on the internet. Then you order that belt from Consolidated Electronics. If you can not find the model then measure the path- after cleaning the old belt off with Ammonia or alcohol, then measure with a string and subtract 5% and order the appropriate sized belt from Consolidated.

SOURCE: Pioneer CT400 tape player needs drive belt

You could try E-Bay first, just measure the belt to get diameter of it and note it's thickness.
You can also try SEME and CPC who are electronic part firms. I don't if they will only deal with the trade, but they are online so give them a go.

SOURCE: I have a fisher cassette deck CR-W48 and the drive

HELLO

The answer is YES! I'm not sure of where you are, but in the UK there are places like Maplins Electronics. It might also be useful if you have a service manual for the machine as well as it might tell you what size of belt you need.

There are many places on the web that sell belts and I'm sure it won't be too long before to have it running again.

ALL THE BEST WITH IT!

I have an rca model GB 11 t cassette tape unit. It needs a pinch roller and a drive belt. Both of them melted in the unit. A dirty mess. No one here can help me. Can you?

The cassette belts are not the problem. They are generally universal. All you need to do is work out roughly the diameter of the belt and search for that online.

The roller is the main problem. They are not universal. Each deck seems to have it's own design for them. Some of them will be fitted into a metal/plastic piece, others will come on their own. I would do a Google image search just on "cassette pinch roller" to see if anything comes up like your model.

Or you can look for the service manual for the part number.

Contact RCA for a list of service or part suppliers.

Or find a model like yours on E-Bay or second hand that is going for parts!

Cassette player doesnt play or record, ff or rewind. CD player, AM/FM radio works fine.

Hi.
If you hear a faint whirring sound from the cassette player while performing these functions, the motor is fine, but you require a new drive belt/s that need to be fitted at an electronics shop. If you hear not sound at all, the motor has died (possibly belts too), again it will require and electrinics repair shop visit.
For the sake of repairing it, it maybe cheaper to buy a new one.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
Depending on the brand name and model # it is my opinion that it is not the belt, it may be that your brushroll is bound up with thread, hair, dirt, etc., and is not spinning well – place the brushroll on end and try to spin it, if it does not spin freely, then you are bound up, try to clean it up and lubricate by using one drop of oil and then wipe off the excess, you don’t want the oil to hit your carpet, if that does not work replace the brush and the new belt, am average flat belt change is every 4 to 6 months – also you may have the wrong size belt of which would cause the to burn up fast. Always use the genuine vacuum belts when replacing.
So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

RCA Boom Box, Cassette Player works improperly

This sounds like a dirty or sticky pinch roller - use a commercial cassette head cleaner - or ear but with a alcohol cleaner -

If the capston is not rolling the cassette forward this my be due to a broken belt - or may have just jumped off - power down the product and disconnet from the mains - then open it up - normaly the front come away undo the mounting screws from around the cassette mechanism normaly around 4 and carefuly look at the back there should normaly be 2 rubber band one to the capston and 1 to the pich roller the belt that may be broken is the smaller of the too. most cassette deck use the same size belt

The cassette spindles do not turn at all

Check for broken or stretched rubber drive belts. Age is as bad an enemy as wear. If it has been sitting for a period of months they go bad faster. Even if you keep it indoors out of the heat, the A/C will dry out the oil the belts and they wil lose their elastisity. There are usuallyonly about 3 or 4 belts in the cassette player at most and they cost less than a dollar each. If you can find the belts, buy extras and keep the extras in a zip lock bag. Parts are harder to find as time goes on and most manufacturers will deliverately quit selling normal wear items like belts after a few years to force you to buy a new product.
