SOURCE: card not initialized

Kyle850. I have a fujifilm finepix camera myself, and just recently had the same problem. The camera worked fine until one day I turned it on to take a picture and there was the "card not initialized" message. To fix the problem, just turn on your camera, push the menu button and use the right/left arrow buttons near the zoom button in the top left corner of the camera. Push the right arrow button until you come to the "option" window in the camera's view finder and use the "up" function of the zoom to highlight the "set-up" window. Press "ok", and use the right arrow button scoll over to the "2" tab and press the ok button again. Then use the "up/down" function of the zoom button to scroll down to the "format" tab. Press ok button again and use the "left" button near the zoom in and out button to highlight the "ok" option in the format window. By pressing the ok button here, it will reformat and reinitialize your picture card. If you do have pics already on your pic card, you may want to take your pic card to a photo center and see about recovering these pics before you go through the reformat process because there is a good chance that when you reformat your pic disk any pics on it will be gone. Good luck. SG

SOURCE: Lens control error

Hello

Thank you for using FixYa for your problem

Sorry but the Zoom Lens has had a knock, your camera is faulty.

It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

Please rate our solutions and if you still have problems please call back for more ideas to help you

Thanks

SOURCE: My fujifilm finepix S5200 camera

Hello

The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

Hope the advise is useful. please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance.

Regards
Andrea

New memory card put it in and it said card error formatted it and it still says card error

I see that the Fujifilm Finepix Z2 model is 6 years old. Do the cards that you are using say SDHC? If so your camera is probably not compatible with them. Try using a regular SD card (no HC) and that might solve your issue. Fujifilm might also have a firmware update that can make your camera work with SDHC cards. Hope this helps!

My FinePix S1800 Fujifilm Digital SLR camera says Frame No. Full''

Go to set up then Frame and change to RENEW. It is probably on continuous. My camera did the same thing and this solved it.
Apparently even thought the card is empty if it is on continuous it will start the picture numbering where you left off last time.

What is Write Error and Read Error

According Too Sources. The FinePix A330 is not compatible with H Type memory Cards. That could possibly be the reason it keeps bringing up the write error. Try using a Type M card.
