Creda T620 Electric Dryer overneating

I suggest that you open the unit and inspect the burner area. UNPLUG first, of course. Most likely you have lint or other foreign material around the burner element.

Maytag electric dryer smells like its over heating

Suggest you clean the lint trap AND THE exhaust hose. If either is blocked up, the dryer could overheat - and cause a fire if it gets too hot.

Over heats and turns off

It overheats Usually when an electric dryer overheats it's because of a defective cycling thermostat or a clogged vent system. Clean any lint from the internal and external ductwork, and/or replace the cycling thermostat

Dryer overheats, already checked venting

Does the unit shut off when it overheats? According to the wiring diagram it could be the Heater Relay or High Limit Thermostat. See the wiring diagram for instructions on error codes and how to obtain them. It is easily found on their website. Hope this helps

The electric heater fuse takes a 300 degree limit. Pink dot6885cfc.jpgThe kit comes with a 250 degree for gas and a 300 for electric. many people have told me either one would work and many folks have said when the 300 degree poped they have used the 250 till it too dies.Keep the dryer clear of lint and regularly checked for lint balls and striped blowers to keep this problem at bay.
