When turned on it beeps and scrools thru programs but does not let you pick one or start a workout. I have turned it off and unplugged it, but problem persists.

replace the old batteries with a new ones, type hybrid rayovac, with the same polarity. clean the contacts batteries with c. cleaner

2) Tight the ribbon cable inside the display board.

3) Adjust the REED swithc, see the diagram attached. Test for open or faulty. Clean it, tight the connector very well.

You have some defective component inside from the display boards. Run the software calibration, for diagnose and troubleshooting. However you can clean the keypads, with special spray contacts cleaner. 2) Tight the ribbon cables 3) Tight the connector from display board vs lower board.
4)Test the main board see the block.

Please visit my tips and tricks page for reasons why you are not getting a signal. if it takes that long, the number 1 thing to look at is conductivity - so you are either not getting the strap wet enough and takes enough sweat to build up to get a god signal, or it is out of position and takes till you get the strap really wet to make the signal strong enough.

Another thing is turn the watch on, away from other input sources so the watch will key on you, if it is receiving signals from others at the start it will have a hard time knowing which signal to use.

Have you tried manual and did it reboot itself , did you try the different programs on your unit and do you get the same results my suspicions is that the eprom software may be getting goofy, you may need to replace the upper console. I would call Icon Fitness @ 1-800-999-3756 and pick their brain.

It sounds like you just need some calibration. To calibrate incline, turn power on press press any incline buttons, as the incline try to change unplug the key. Now re-nsert key and incline will self calibrate,
