What's my combo

Each padlock has a different combination. If you lost yours, that's reall bad luck. Take it to a good locksmith, maybe he can find out. If pretends to charge you too much, get a new padlock

had your looking for a combo, throw it out. no way to find the combo for it. serial only refers to the model of the lock. its like asking for a part for " my ford truck " not enough info.

if you have totally forgotten the combo, then the only way to figure out the combo is to progress the combo -- to do this you will start from 0000 and then 0001,0002,0003,0004 etc.. all the way through until you hit the right numbers and the lock opens, ( make sure you try and open the lock at every new number ). a 4 digit combo usually takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to go through all the numbers. what will help in this progression process is if you can at least remember one of the numbers or better yet, remember two of the numbers.
some locksmith shops do have special tools ( readers ) that might be able to read the wheels and figure out the combo for you --- call around and ask some of the lock shops in your area if they have the ability to read the lock for you,, but if they can't - then you are back to square one ( progression ).

if the lock is locked up and the combo that you set it to is not working then I would say that there might be a problem with the lock itself. I would suggest returning to the store that you bought it from and exchange it for a new one. if you want to try and get the lock open - you can try and progress the numbers, since you already have a combo set, this is a little easier then if you didn't have a combo at all. try setting the lock to the combo that you selected, starting with the first number - rotate the first wheel to the next number and try the lock and then to the next number and try the lock, when you get back to your original number, go to the next wheel and rotate that one around to every number ( testing the shackle everytime you get to a new number )---- repeat this process for the next two number wheels,, hopefully this will work,, but again it could be a broken wheel and I would just exchange it for a new one and start fresh.

there is no way to reset a combo on a locked lock.
the only way to get the combo is to progress the numbers starting from 0000 and then 0001,0002,0003 etc.. all the way through until you get the lock to open. it will help if you know at least the first two numbers --- like if you set it to a date of year say ( birthday etc.. ) --so you will know that starting with 1900,1901,1902,1903 and so on and so on. I am a locksmith and when we get these locks in the shop from customers, we treat them like a puzzle and run through the combo in our spare time. ( the quickest time I have had on a 4 digit combo is 25 minutes -- the longest I have spent on a 4 digit lock is 2 days ).. progression is the only way for you to figure out the combo. some wheels can be read by a locksmith using special tools and you can check with your local lockshop and see if they have these readers, but I have never had luck reading the master pad locks.
just do it in your spare time or when you are watching tv -- you will get it eventually.

I don't know if Master Lock will supply a combination or not but they can open it for you. There might be ownership issues that need verified. They don't know who's keys are in it and they don't know if the lock has been stolen.

That number is the serial number. Here is how you get the combo

Check the MasterLock web site to see if they still offer to provide for forgotten combinations. Some years ago I got a combination for a standard rotary dial lock by providing the usual identification information plus a photo of the lock showing its serial number.
