I signed up an account with my maiden name (Dallaire) I found out u can get into my account with my married name (McCarthy)why is this so...I don't want people in my account under McCarthy

If you mean what is a maiden name... It was your mother's surname BEFORE she was married.

How do I display an alternate name (ex: nickname, maiden name) on my Timeline? If you'd like to list a second name on your account (ex: maiden name, nickname, professional name), you can add an alternate name from your account settings.
To display an alternate name:

1. Click at the top right of any Facebook page and select Settings.
2. Click General in the left column.
3. Find the setting Name and click Edit to the far right.
4. Enter your alternate name. Learn about our alternate name policies.
5. Check Include this on my Timeline to have your alternate name listed on your Timeline. Otherwise, it will only help people find you in search.
6. Click Save Changes.

Note: If you checked the box to have your alternate name listed on your Timeline, it'll appear next to your name at the top of your personal Timeline. It'll also show up next to your name in search results and any friend requests you send. If you have a large number of followers, you may be prompted to verify your account when you add an alternate name to your Timeline.

Just create a new user account. Then delete the one with the wrong name, when you do this it will ask you where you want the files from the old account, you just tell windows to put them in the new account, all set.

Log out of your old account by clicking the little gear icon in the upper-right then clicking "Log Out." You can then create a new account.

If the different email address is still active you can opt to use the forget password option and you will be able to login to the facebook with your maiden name
Once that you are logged on your first account you have the option to deactivate it

A married woman's maiden name is what her surname was before she married.
