From Garmin's knowledge base:

Question:
How do I perform a master reset on my nuvi 200, 205, 465, 500, 600, 700, 705 or 1000 series device?

Answer:
To perform a Master Reset on the nuvi 200, 205, 465, 500, 600, 700, 705, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400 or 1600 series device:

Note: A master reset will erase all waypoints or Favorites and will restore your unit to the default factory settings. If you would like to back up your Favorites to your computer, you can find instructions to do so here.

Start with the unit OFF and unplugged from power
Touch and hold the lower right corner of the screen with an index finger or the eraser end of a pencil
Continue touching and holding the lower right hand corner of the screen then power the unit ON
Release the power button when the device powers ON
You will see a new message: Do you really want to erase all user data?
Remove your finger from the touchscreen when this message displays
Touch Yes
The device will automatically reset. Follow the on screen prompts then place your device in an area with a clear view of the sky until it acquires satellites.

Most likely a defective LCD display. If the unit was dropped, the LCD ribbon cable might have pulled slightly out of the connector on the PCB board.

Nuvi 2555mt lost voice

First, do you hear beeps when you press a selection on the screen? If yes, then your speaker is OK and the audio circuits are OK in the unit. Make sure that you have a voice selected in the voice menu. Some units have an audio mixer screen and provide different volume settings for navigation (voice) and system (beeps). maybe the volume for the voice (navigation) is set to off. If you don't hear any beeps when you touch the screen AND you don't hear a voice, make sure that the sound isn't set to be muted. If the sound isn't muted, you may have a defective speaker. Touch screen calibration xerox 7345

Switch on the power while simultaneously holding down the numerical keys 0, 1, and 3 on the Control Panel.
The Calibration Screen 1 will display
In numeric sequence (P1 to P9), touch the intersections of the vertical and horizontal lines with the stylus.
Apply the stylus to each of the four line intersections. A black square should appear at the point of contact, and a beep should sound.
If four beeps are heard, adjustment is OK.
If you don't hear four beeps, repeat the adjustment from step 1.
Switch the power off and then on.

Dell Inspiron 1012. On power on I get 7 long beeps recuring about every ten seconds or so,the screen remains black and no hdd activity I have checked the hdd and all ok,memory seems ok beeps still sound...

The beeps during startup depend on the BIOS. Here are some possible causes of the seven slow beeps on different bios:
AMI (American Megatrends') = virtual mode exception error.AST Research = Processor register read/write verify test failed. Compaq = AGP video.Mylex = DMA page registrater error.
there are others which i didn't include....

Black screen and one beep

One beep usually indicated that all is ok
Check the connection form the PC to the monitor, unless you are getting a number of beeps, the issue is most likely with the VGA cable or a dead monitor.. try a different monitor, computer tower sounds like it is ok.

Beep sound continus

I went to google and it seems like the beeps can be problems for different problems in the hardware, this is what one message says,  there are lots of computer beeping answers out there: 1 short beep is your BIOS saying "HELLO I'M OK"

Standard Original IBM POST Error Codes

1 short beep Normal POST - system is ok
2 short beeps POST Error - error code shown on screen
No beep Power supply or system board problem
Continuous beep Power supply, system board, or keyboard problem
Repeating short beeps Power supply or system board problem
1 long, 1 short beep System board problem
1 long, 2 short beeps Display adapter problem (MDA, CGA)
1 long, 3 short beeps Enhanced Graphics Adapter (EGA)
3 long beeps keyboard card

Each BIOS company has modified these codes over the years.

I have garmin vuvi 350 , its voice has stopped . i have checked all posssible setting, but no result. i am living in Mississauga, On canada. i need immediate help

Do you have other sound like the touch screen beeps? MP3 audio ok? If no, try using a set of headphones in the headphone jack. If you hear sound ok there, then your internal speaker is bad.
