Input screen appears but will not let to scroll to selection

Have you got any other remotes in the room that could be faulty or interfering with the WDTV.
Also:
try resetting via the side button with the unit on.
resetting to factory defaults via the internet menu.
unplugging the unit from power for some minutes (not seconds).
Do all the above one after the other before using the WDTV.
Sometimes this helps particularity after a firmware update.
The input source of the TV can be changed either through the supplied TV remote or physical buttons located on the TV itself.
Changing input source using the supplied TV remote.

1. Press the INPUT button on the supplied TV remote.
2. The input source screen will be displayed on the screen of the TV.
3. Using the arrow keys, choose one of the input sources on the input selection screen.
4. Confirm the selection by pressing the Enter button.

Changing input source using the physical buttons on the TV.

1. Press the INPUT button located at the back of the TV panel.
2. The input source selection screen will be displayed.
3. To scroll through the options, press the INPUT button repeatedly. The last highlighted option will be chosen after few seconds.

I think it is usb, not sure why that happens though. Panasonic for some very weird reason mixes upper and lower case letters in some of their on screen bits, so you never know for sure.
I know nothing about this stuff but was having a similar problem with not being able to get the dvd recorder to record onto a dvd.
This was after I had set up the camcorder to the set the day before.
I finally went to 'input select' on the remote and changed it until it worked again, just go through each setting until everything is back to normal.
Somehow, it appears as if the dvd recorder got itself set to the camcorder and would not let go of that setting without changing the input select. I have no idea why because I never touched the input select before this, I always controlled everything with the Directv remote. Hope this helps someone.

To change the language, Follow the given instructions:

• Press the "Menu" button, or select the "Menu" option, on your Samsung phone. Your phone menu will now appear.
• Scroll through the menu using the directional pad and highlight the "Settings" option. Press the button in the center of the directional pad to continue.
• Scroll to the "Phone" option and press the middle button. Then scroll to the "Language" option and press the middle button. The phone will now show two fields: "Screen text" and "Input language."
• Scroll to the "Screen text" field and press the soft key under the word "Change." A list of the available languages will now appear in a drop-down box. On Samsung phones that use a SIM card, an available option is called "Automatic," which will default the phone to the language of the SIM card.
• Scroll to the language Select English and press the "OK" button.
• Highlight the "Input language" field and press the "Change" soft key. Scroll to the language to English and press the "OK" button.
• Press the soft key under the word "Save" to save your changes and return to the phone settings menu.

To hard reset of your cell

Type 1809#*500# & select reset option which restores the factory settings. A confirmation screen will appear, select Yes. It it asks security code then enter 0000 it will take some time and your handset will be restored to original settings.

or try this to Reset Default
From the standby screen, press Menu
Scroll to and select Settings
Scroll to and select Reset Settings
Scroll to and select Master Reset
A confirmation screen will appear, select Yes.
It it asks security code then enter 0000

I ran into this on a Panasonic DMR-EA38V, and have discovered that yes, it is one of the input selected with the input select button. It will select DVD, usb, SD (for SD card), and VHS. Scared me for a minute!

usually the HDMI unit MUST be plugged in and powered on before, they will "Show Up" to be selected.

From main screen: Press first purple key on the left until you see Other Setup. Select Other setup. Input password (1, alpha, alpha, 66831 is most likely). Scroll down to Comm, select Comm.

From Edit CPT #1/2 press Slct. Press next until PABX Code appears. Press Edit. When you see New: press Enter. The field should now be blank. Press exit, then OK to save changes

From Edit CPT #1/2 press Next, then Select. Press next until PABX appears and repeat as above. When complete, press exit, then Clear until the default screen reappears.
