You could try to hard reset your device, in an attempt to sort your problems out. Be warned that a hard reset will set everything on your phone to their factory defaults, for what you'll loose all the programs you have installed, as well as your personal data. Anyway, to perform a hard reset, turn your phone off completely, by pressing and holding the power button, and, then, answering to the power off prompt. Then, press and hold the Volume Down, the Call, and the Power buttons, until the LED (at the side of the camera) flashes. Release the buttons. That LED should flash in green/red/blue now. When your device powers up, it should be completely cleared.

Yo man.. I just had the same ******* problem. Drove me crazy cause the phone still worked but I couldn't see what i was doing haha. But hey, i solved it!
Hold down the middle button+the call button+the C button for a while and the screen will turn itself on again!!!
